Books on Prescription

Books on Prescription is a national scheme that aims to help people manage their
own well-being. A core list of 30 titles has been drawn up by health
professionals. The books provide helpful information and self-help techniques
for managing common conditions, including anxiety and depression.

The Lancashire library service has made the books on this list available
through all its libraries. GPs and other health professionals may recommend to
you books from the list when you visit a surgery, but they are also available
for anyone to borrow. If the book you want is not on the shelf, you can reserve
it without any charge.

The books are free to borrow although you will be asked to join the library if you are not already a member. The books will be issued for three weeks and the usual policy on fines and exemptions will apply.

I feel so much better now I'm more active, all I needed was a little help to start me off.
